Key concepts

To use Fuzz Energy effectively, it is essential to understand the fundamental concepts on which the platform is built.

These concepts define how your infrastructure is organized, monitored, and controlled.

🌐 Root (partner level)

The Root level corresponds to a partner or global administrator access.

It allows managing multiple organizations (Companies) from a single interface.

At this level, you can:

  • create and administer companies
  • manage multi-organization access
  • supervise multiple clients or entities
  • access a global view (multi-site, multi-company)

πŸ‘‰ Example: an operator, an integrator, or a partner serving several clients

🏒 Company

A Company represents an organization.

It is the main management level for a client.

It allows you to:

  • group multiple sites
  • manage users and their access
  • configure global settings
  • centralize monitoring

πŸ‘‰ Example: a company, a client, a charge point operator

πŸ“ Site

A Site corresponds to a physical location.

This is where your equipment lives.

A site allows you to:

  • group assets
  • view local energy consumption
  • configure specific rules
  • monitor activity

πŸ‘‰ Example: parking lot, building, depot

⚑ Assets

Assets are the pieces of equipment present on a site.

Asset types:

  • charge points
  • meters
  • batteries
  • photovoltaic panels
  • fridges

Each asset:

  • has metrics
  • can raise alerts
  • is defined in the topology

🧭 Topology

The topology represents the electrical organization of a site.

It describes the connections between equipment.

It enables:

  • describing the electrical infrastructure
  • performing energy calculations
  • running smart charging

🌐 Global hierarchy

Root
└── Company
└── Site         └── Assets (including chargepoints)

🎯 Key takeaways

  • The Root manages multiple Companies
  • A Company contains multiple Sites
  • A Site contains Assets
  • Assets are organized in a Topology

πŸ‘‰ This structure mirrors the real organization of your infrastructure and enables management at scale.
